Power Supply Protection Functions

Our 470W Power Supply is always facilitated with the OVP, OCP and SCP

OVP (Over Voltage Protection)

Sometime, with many reasons, the+3.3V, +5V and +12V voltages can be abnormally increased in huge. If the power supply is with OVP function, the power supply will be shut down to protect your system when the abnormal output voltage is happening. If the power supply is without the OVP function, then, the suddenly increasing voltages can very easily burn up the system.

OCP (Over Current Protection)

Sometime, with many reasons, the power supply's output current can be abnormally increasing. If the power supply is with OVP function, the power supply will be shut down to protect your system when the abnormal output of over-current is happening.

If the power supply is without the OCP function, then, the increasing current can very easily burn up the system.

SCP (Short Circuit Protection)

Sometime, with many reasons, the system's devices short circuit can be abnormally happening. If the power supply is with SCP function, the power supply can detect the short circuit happening from the systems devices and power supply will shut down to protect your system. If the power supply is without the SCP function, then, the high temperature caused by the short circuit can very easily burn up the system.

Remote Control Fail (PS off) Function

The main purposes for the power supply's power Remote Control Fail Function is to prevent the memory lose when the power supply is shut down and as well as to prevent the abnormal disk scan when the power supply is normally turning on. The setting of the power supply's remote control power fail is requested longer than 1.0ms (mini second). If the power supply is with good Remote Control Fail (PS off) function, the power supply will not cause system's Memory Lose and Scan Disk problems. If the power supply's remote control power fail is set shorter than 1m, then, the scan disk is very easily happened when restart the system.

AC Relay

Most of the peripherals have their own power cord for directly acquiring the AC power from the wall mounted power outlet or power extension cord. Therefore, all the peripherals will be remained on, if the user only turns the PC power off and without turning each peripheral switch off.
